More Than a Rugby Club
We bring people together through rugby, youth development, and international cultural exchange. From local fields to global destinations, our non-profit club creates opportunities for young people to grow, connect, and lead—on and off the pitch. Join our community that builds character, strengthens cultures, and opens the world through sport.
UPCOMING PROJECTS.
Our upcoming projects continue to expand rugby opportunities while building strong cultural connections at home and abroad. These initiatives include Mexican-American women’s and men’s traveling teams competing in tournaments in Cancún and Aguascalientes, Mexico, with cultural exchange activities aligned with the Feria de San Marcos. Locally, we are growing the Jr. Aardvarks Youth Rugby Program, providing young athletes with positive pathways into the sport.
We are also launching a Mexican-American U19 team to create long-term development pathways across both the United States and Mexico. In addition, the Albuquerque Aardvarks Men’s Rugby Club will represent our community internationally with a two-match tour in Ireland, complemented by cultural exchange events that strengthen cross-cultural understanding through rugby.
We are hosting the 54th annual High Desert Rugby Classic -15s Tournament on October 3, held during Albuquerque’s iconic International Balloon Fiesta. Open to both men’s and women’s teams, this event brings together competitive rugby, community celebration, and visiting teams from near and far. Set against one of the city’s most recognizable cultural events, the tournament offers a unique opportunity to compete while experiencing Albuquerque’s vibrant atmosphere, making it a highlight of the fall rugby calendar.
